I want to thank the PWP (Professional Women Photographers) for the opportunity to explore the Still Life genre.

 

I enjoyed using inanimate objects from my home and nature to compose still life images.  The final composition of each picture reminded me of a theme.

 

The theme for my image, Butterfly Memories, came to me as I was selecting objects and setting up the shoot.  I’ve always found the music and story of Puccini’s Madame Butterfly so compelling. 

 

I hope the image speaks to you too.
